Cardiff Ratha Yatra – Festival of the Chariots

The Cardiff Ratha Yatra Festival takes place on Saturday, 10th August, starting with a vibrant city centre procession from 12pm to 2pm, beginning at King Edward VII Avenue. The colourful parade, featuring a decorated chariot, live music, and traditional dance, winds through the city before reaching Bute Park. From 2pm to 6pm, the festival continues near the Secret Garden Café with a free vegan/vegetarian feast, live performances, craft stalls, and family-friendly activities. Entry is free and all are welcome.
