Fireworks displays in Cardiff
Cardiff's big council display, Sparks in the Park at Coopers Field, hasn't run since 2019 and was shelved for good in 2022. Bonfire night didn't disappear with it, though. It just moved: to the cricket ground at Sophia Gardens, the rugby clubs of Penarth and Barry, a waterfront bar in the Bay, and a couple of rather smart venues out in the Vale.
Bonfire night lands on a Thursday for 2026, and most displays are on Thursday or Friday. Here's every one we could find, with times, prices and where to book.

Sophiaworks, Sophia Gardens
Cardiff's headline display, in Glamorgan Cricket's ground on the edge of Bute Park. It's an easy walk from the city centre, so leave the car at home and enjoy the stroll back past the castle. Premium tickets have already sold out.
When: Thu 5 Nov. Gates 5.15pm, fireworks 7pm to 7.20pm.

Fireworks Night at Lo Lounge, Cardiff Bay
Fireworks over the Bay every night this week. It's a handy plan B if Thursday is a school-night no-go, or if the forecast looks grim.
When: nightly until Sat 7 Nov. Doors 5.30pm, last entry 6.30pm.

One of the best-value displays around. It's pre-book only, so don't turn up on spec.

Fireworks Spectacular, Llanerch Vineyard, Hensol
Food first, then fireworks over the vines. The price is the same for adults and children, so it works best for families with older kids.
When: Fri 6 Nov. Gates 6pm to 7.30pm, food 7.30pm to 8pm, then the display.
Price: £25 per person (plus fee).
Fireworks Night, The Vale Resort, Hensol
An early display, so you're home for bedtime, with a VIP option if you fancy the posh hot chocolate.

Caerphilly has swapped its bonfire night display for fireworks at the Christmas lights switch-on and River of Light parade on Fri 20 Nov (parade 5.30pm, fireworks 6pm).

Is there a free fireworks display in Cardiff?
